De stout is er een om even voor te gaan zitten. Een dik donker bier met een mokka- kleurige schuimkraag. De smaken lopen uiteen van chocolade tot koffie. Zet het bier voor gebruik even buiten de koelkast. Op 10 graden komen de smaken het best naar voren. Combineer dit bier met een gerecht met grill- en rooksmaken of een kaasplank met gedroogde zuidvruchten!

Bottle at Bierboutique, Rotterdam: Opaque black coloured brew with an dry bitter taste where some lovely sweetness comes through. Hints of roasted malts, koffie and chocolate.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierloods22', 9.8% abv, best before February 2024. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity, slightly roasty aroma of caramel, toasted nuts, coffee and some raisins. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of caramel, dark chocolate, coffee, some licorice, raisins and a touch of oak, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, slightly earthy, a little vinous finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Rather fruity for an Imperial Stout, almost vinous, still with quite some roast and a velvety mouthfeel. Very pleasant, but also with enough intensity.
