A summery beer that breezes in just like the migrating swallows. It’s made with lager malts giving it a light body, while Cascade, Chinook and Bramling Cross hops are added late in the brewing process for a lovely hint of lemon. A crisp, dry, refreshing pale ale, deserving of a proper summer’s day.

Bottled@Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is wooden hops, some hints of flowery and fruity hops as well as some mild caramel and earth. Flavour is quite much the same, but the wooden bitteryness is a bit stronger.

Cask. Slightly buttery aroma. Hazy golden colour. Almost no head. The flavour is a lot better than the aroma, subtle, but OK, dusty.

Bottle for £1 from ASDA. Another unimpressive pasteurised effort from Batemans. Amber coloured with an off-white head. Caramel aroma with some tired hops. The flavour was also very sweet with some synthetic vanilla undertones. Poor.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Gold/copper colour with lasting thin beige head. Some toffee on aroma. Some herby hop. Decent condition. Quite zingy on the finish. The finish is pretty good. It is ok. Hop is good but aroma is not great.
