Old rating from 1998 - From the cask in Lincoln, pours amber with a small white head. Aromas & tastes of orange, lemon, caramel, toffee & malt. Medium body. Mild bitter finish

# 2790; 3/2022. Malty, floral, piny aroma. Brilliant amber body, persistant lacing creamy off-white head. Malty, earthy, slightly mouldy and sulphury. Worse bitter. Pint, hand-pulled, pub, Lincoln (Lincolnshire, England).

Cask at Number Twenty2, Darlington. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of toffee and marmalade. Sweet taste too. Light bitterness on the finish redeems it.

(On tap) Hazy deep amber with small white head. Slightly fruity aroma. Medium body with fine carbonation. Tangy fruity start (reminded me vaguely of chutney) followed by gentle toffee notes and very modest bitterness. Ok but not great.

Cask, White Horse, Parsons Greene, London. Just a bit of hops in teh aroma. Bitter flavor with hints of oak and licorice. Medium bodied. Firm hoppy and herbal finish.

Cask at GBBF 2019. Medium orange-amber with lace. Malty nose, some caramel, minerals, light, spicy hop. Mineral and citrus flavor, caramel malt. A bit thin and weak.

[ As Batemans XB ].Clear medium amber orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, light toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, caramel, sweet malt, light toasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20170120] 5-3-5-3-10

Cask @ Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and dark fruit. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 191018
