[500ml bottle shared with Dad - cheers!] Light amber, small white head, rather fizzy. Cardboardy malt and not a lot else. Dull and rather unpleasant.

Bottled (thanks the the craziest bartender around). Something between deep orangeish golden and amber colour, mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is malts, some fruity and grassy hops as well as some grass and wood. Flavour is quite much the same, but the grassy and wooden notes are much stronger. almost non-existant carbonation, so either there has been a slight cap leak, or then it’s very mellowly carbonated.

Århus2008. 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Light grassy aroma with a mild hops note. Flavour is mild grassy with a light caramel malt flavour and mild bitterness following. Ends medium dry with a light cornish note. Slight breadish too.

Bottle. Amber with a slight white head. Aroma of sweet caramel with some tired hops. Flavour was of sweet fruit, almost marmalade like with an ok bitter finish. More evidence that pasteurised bitter is not a good idea.

500 ml bottle from Sainsburys. Golden amber with a short-lived white head; aroma of spiced orange; extremely fruity, with orange and tropical fruits; some hops evident at the start, but finish is rather sweet and cloying. Interesting, but too sweet overall for me.

Bottle, 5.0%. Citric aroma, old hops and green apple. Clear copper colour. Nice stable white head. The flavour is sweet with anis/mint feel. Sweet, malty and sewery. Weird and not very pleasant, even though it is not past BB date.

An orange beer with a lazing light brown head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity and flowery hoppy. The flavor is sweet and very fruity combined with a light floral hop note, leading to a bitter end with a caramel note lingering for a long time.

Bottled. Pours golden, with a decent off-white head. Malty and hoppy aroma with some sweet caramel-notes. A light aroma of yellow apples tries to hide in the background. The flavor starts, and lasts, with the apples, then theres malt and caramel, along with some hops. Medium, a bit dry, body. I finishes off quite fruity, and once again with yellow apples. A clean and crisp ale, but it doesn’t stand out from the crowd. (060626)
