Black beer, thick foamy head. Smells of tropical hop and a decent maltiness. A good malty hit up front to the flavour too, a little toasty before some hop comes in and just a little fruitiness. There's not a lot of that but it just about hangs around into the aftertaste with the malt. It'd be nice if it had a little more oomph, a little more body. It's decent though, pleasant enough and an easy one to drink.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Morrison’s. pours clear red-brown with a creamy, khaki head. Lightly sweet with notes of tobacco, toasted leaves, nips of dried orange peel, cocoa, burnt pine, earth. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly dry on the finish, more earth, soft roast, spent tobacco, toasted pine and grass. It’s not bad.

330ml can from Morrison's: BBE March 2022. Drank at home on 2nd October 2021. What the hell is an India Porter? Well it wasn't what I was expecting. Poured a deep cola brown, off-white/beige head. Strange aroma and taste, a mixture of piney hops, caramel and tropical fruits in both the nose and taste. Thought it all a bit 'weak' and bland to be honest. Pity because I usually enjoy beers from Adnams and Thornbridge.

[33cl can from the Beer52 webshop.] A hazy peaty brown coloured pour with a peaky caramel coloured head; aroma of roasted grains with some tropical fruit in the background; smooth and creamy in the mouth with a light fruity bitterness and a grainy body; then a harsher bitter finish with a plummy aftertaste.

Can from Morrisons Supermarket, Moston. Midly hazy brown coloured ale with a head. It's quite a nice fusion of darker malt and hops, with the latter becoming more evident as the supping continues, coffee too, evident in both aroma and taste.

22/7/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers! Pours clear mid-brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, dried fruits, chocolate, nutty earthy edge. Medium sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Notes of banana, pine and berries develop. Not bad. Could have done with a bit more body.

Can. Morrison’s. Clear, dark reddy brown. Thin and grubby looking off white head. Not a looker. Nose has bitter roast malt. Crusty bread. Earthy hop. Some citrus notes. Taste has a nice bittersweet character. A tad earthy and dry. Drinks easy with a smooth mouthfeel. Dry and earthy bitterness to finish.

Can at lowestoft picked up from the brewery shop. A clear copper brown coloured pour with a a loose light tan head. Aroma is bitter burnt toast, dry dirty pine, toasted nuts, liquorice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty toasted brown bread, nutty, green liquorice, earthy roast in the finish. Not a huge fan.
