A visit to Delirium village on a layover in Brussels opened up a new world of beers to us. With a selection of over 2000 beers and a laid back atmosphere, it was beer lovers bliss. We were lucky enough to get our first taste of Belgian Dubbel there and have been its admirers since. Our Belgian Dubbel is just a taste of this experience. It has a caramel flavor and malty sweetness that is balanced with low bitterness. The real star is its fig and prune character and its dark amber color. It is a medium body beer that is complex enough to keep you coming back for more. This beer is dedicated to our first believer, supporter, and beer lover "Doga Yalcin".

Tap at The Walls Inn. Med-thin body, low carbonation. Feels old. Does not look like a dubbel, neither tastes like one. Looks fruity and also tastes fruity, generic red fruit estery character, with a hint of grassy earthy hops. Med-light bitterness, low sweetness. Light spiciness. Overall okay.

On tap at the Walls Inn. Cloudy orange with white head. Malty, caramel, some dried fruit, sweetish, medium bodied.

Remainder of an exploded can shared on the pavement outside of Right & Proper Shaw DC, big thanks to Grumbo and SHIG, 13/04/23. Murky amber with an off white head. Nose is sticky fruit syrups, yeast esters, clove, herb. Taste comprises caramel, stewed fruits, yeast esters, herb. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so for the style ... a touch raw and lacking finesse.

Can shared in DC Thanks to Shig. Pours murky yellow brown with no heat. Aroma is yeast, hint of coriander, herbal notes. Taste is yeast, coriander, malt. Herbs. Not that great.

Can thanks to Grumbo: Poured a murky amber with a white head. Aroma yeasty, fruity, estery. Taste is fruity, caramel, bland, yeast, berry.
