Clear copper color...can to glass. Light citrus pine aroma. Its very grapefruit driven with a piney finish. Not much malt but alcohol hidden well.

An orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has grapefruit, pine, some mango, caramel in the body. Taste has caramel, pine, some fruitness, bitterness is quite strong. Medium bodied. The level of bitterness is the best part, too much of caramel.

Pours clear deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Mango and scallion aromas. Soft with earthy caramel, resin and pith upfront turning to continued deep, dark pith and resin in the lasting finish.

Quarantine Beer #102 sampled at home on 05/01/2020. Clear dark golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Herbal hop, tropical fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Clear blond colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour are typical of an old style American IPA. Slightly floral and resinous. Lasting bitter finish. Background citrus notes.

Credit where it’s due for Lagunitas, then tend to deliver craft beer of reasonable quality at a good price point - that’s about what I can say for this beer: it’s a double ipa of reasonable quality at a good price point - there is often something hollow in the heart of a Lagunitas beer, though - this beer is no exception - it satisfies the desire for hop bitterness, but depth is just not there - that’s the thing about their beer: it’s paint by numbers craft beer that is always just a couple numbers short of making a really interesting painting - the “good enough” craft beer.

Definitely a nice West coast DIPA. Lots of sharp pine and some citrus. Golden pour with decent head. Light caramel but pretty dry on that front. Bitter end. Some grapefruit like old-school breakfast spoons. Can
