A Portland Classic! This strong ale has a deep mahogany color and is crafted with seven different specialty malts. A touch of smoked malt gives it a complex aroma and incredible flavor. LSD is also generously hopped with six hop varieties to help create an awesome beer.

Dark brown colour. Big head. Chocolatey, slightly plummy, toasty, grapefruity aroma. Toasty character with light citrus accents. With its blend of subtle roastiness and overt hoppiness, it reminds me a lot of Black Toque, but with more grapefruit and an extra splash of booze.

First - yes, I checked many times straong, not strong. Draft. mahogony color with a nice off-white head. Low roasty, slight hop, slight smoke aroma. Balanaced smoke, malt, roast, fruity hops. Lingering fruit, smoke, and malt. Medium body. Nice balance. Well made beer.

On tap at New Old Lompoc NW Portland. Very dark ruby, beige lasting head. Some liquoricey malt on aroma. Lovely slightly sour malts. Very different English old ale style. Good coffee malt. Different. Good hop, dry malt finish. I had the nitro version of this too, which is awful. It’s very educational though to have the two together. The nitro is stripped of flavour. A bit like a coffee creme. Like a latte with malt. Hilarious 1.8/5
