This allotment saw us add freshly-pressed Gamay juice to a 12 month foeder-fermented Saison to produce a straw-coloured, dry and richly complex farmhouse ale with subtle acidity and notes of juicy red fruit.

Olive bottle, 750 ml, gift from Paul Hunsberger (thank you!) on September 24, 2021 for my retirement, savoured on November 3, 2021; eye: caramel with an orange hue, cloudy, no effervescence, good sheet of white head made up of rather large bubbles and that disappear completely, no lacing; nose: acidity, white wine, slight musk, slight citric, light wild yeasts; mouth: acidity, white wine, slight musk, slight citric, light wild yeasts, finale in white wine with presence of acidity, light body, lightly below average carbonation, slightly sweet, slick texture; in summary: fine FRANÇAIS

Hazy blond colour. Strong biological matter smell; light funk, maybe manure, light lemon, some yeast/dough. Moderately acidic, off-dry, mild but pleasant white grape (?), and some astringency in the finish; hint of doughy yeast, like a stain on a white dress.

750ml (thx, Jonathan M.!) on Phill's deck. Appearance: hazy blonde with bo head. Aroma: grapes, funky, barrel. Taste: along the same lines, some manure (thx, Alex, to Dave_Shea us, hehe). Overall: pretty good.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out spicy wild yeast, crisp grape skins, and some rustic saison yeast. Flavour reveals spicy, rustic saison yeast, gentle grape skins, a bit of herbal notes, and some biscuity malt. There's maybe a bit of THP (Cheerios) in here that shouldn't be there. But all in all, it's pretty solid.
