Bottles (7.1% ABV) from House Of Trembling Madness. Black body with a thick tan head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of fruit cake, dark chocolate, espresso and Marmite. Flavour of soy sauce, chocolate cake and Dr Pepper. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Rich and tangy - it’s like liquidised chocolate cake. My favourite Torrside beer to date.

Black beer, thick tan head. Toasty malt and a little sweet fruit in the smell. Flavour has toasted malt, chocolate, a little booze, a touch nutty, some coffee, a dash of fruit.

On tap at the Alexandra Hotel Derby. Thick jet black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste big bold chocolate and light coffee. Nice malty sweetness. Very silky smooth body.

Bottle picked up from Hoptimism webshop, Loughborough, Leicestershire UK and consumed at home Sunday 29th November 2020 listening to Baxter Duty - The Night Chancers, we had a Tagine for tea. Pours black with a tan head, roasty and toasty bite from the off, it's laden with liquorice and espresso coffee, some molasses, yea this is really good, some woodiness, charcoal, liquorice returns, like this.

Bottle delivered from the Blue Boar, Leicester and drunk at home. Black with slight notes of indigo, almost completely impenetrable, with a large loose tan head which dissipates quickly. Salt liquorice, salt plum, vanilla, sarsaparilla, coffee grounds and molasses in the aroma. Sweet taste, with liquorice and cane sugar to the fore, strong notes of stone fruit. There's an earthy hop bitterness which creeps in near the end. Finish is a bit short, with more classes and vanilla bean on the finish. Heavy carbonation. Exemplary.
