Bottle split at the Watford tasting, thanks to Dave, 11/03/22. Black pour with a decent tan crown. Nose is mellow roast, dark fruit rinds, toasted brown sugars, light spice, chocolate. Taste comprises roast malts, chocolate, spice, charr, vanilla essence, fruit cake mix, toffee, brown sugar melt. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost offered at the curtain call. Decent enough easy drinker ... masks the ABV well but on that point perhaps lacks a touch of depth for such a heavy hitter.
