500ml bottle from Tesco - Clear golden body with no head. Nose is a bit of a fake apple concoction, taste is sweet over ripe red apple. Nothing special.

Half at King's Bar. It pours clear blonde with a small fluffy white head. The aroma is very sweet, sugary, slightly tangy, powdery, fizzy apple candy, apple tango and apple juice from concentrate. The taste is crisp, crunchy, super sweet, sweet, sugary, apple juice from concentrate, spritzy, more sugar, soft drink, kick of booze and light drying apple skin tannin. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Super fizzy and sugary. More like cheap fizzy juice than cider.

On keg at the Goose, Beaumont, Jersey. Golden orange with steady carbonation. Some quickly disappearing lacing. Sweet and fresh apples on both nose and taste. Light to medium bodied, tangy sweet middle and finish. OK.

On keg draught at the amarquus Wellington, Leicester. Mid-gold colour, clear with a ring and very thin film of white head. Light aroma of apple, but there isn't much to go on. Taste is more present with a bittersweet tang. Heavy carbonation. It's a decent enough commercial cider.

Bottle that my wife got (from Waitrose) - cheers! Gold, lightly sparkling. Taste of over-ripe apples and economy apple juice. Much too sweet. Not great, but still better than a lot of the crap Bulmers produce - at least it tastes like it's got apples in it. And at least I didn't have to drink the whole lot of it as I used half to make a rather good Somerset Pork!
