Bottle. A lightly unclear, golden beer with a minimal sized, off-white head. Malt forward beer with an obvious raisin aroma. Some citrusy, earthy hoppyness. Dry, full-bodied and a bit hard on the carbonation. Lightly roasted caramel flavor with the raisins shining through. Some bitterness in the finish. Nothing wrong with this one, but it’s really, really boring. 111112

Bottled (2nd CS/ES Beer Gathering, thanks JP!). Goldeny amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is malty, berryish and also has some slight notes of raisins, floral and grassy hops. Flavour is mild raisins, sweet malts, red berries and some floral and grassy notes. Wellbalanced.

Medium offwhite head. Clear amber body. Fruity earthy raisiny aroma with perfumy notes. Dry-sweet plastic earthy mealy taste with wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry fruity earthy plastic aftertaste with mealy buttery notes. Not bad, but could do without the plastic. (0.1l from bottle at DBF’11.)

500 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 5.0%. Deep golden to copper colour, moderate white head. Fruity aroma with distinct notes of raisins and grape juice. The flavour is a fairly nice blend of malts and raisins, not too sweet, with moderate hops in the finish and aftertaste. Quite enjoyable.

A sweet smooth beer with a smooth malty finish that has something going on that maybe raisins! But it’s very subtle!

Bottle. Sweet light raisin and barley malt aroma. Dark amber color with large head. Lightly sweet raisin, toffee malt and lightly bitter grassy hops. Medium body. Raisin beer didn’t really sound like it was going to be very good but this surprised me - Very nice beer.

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of fruit, malt, and caramel, as well as just a hint of raisins. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops, as well as medium notes of malt, and light notes of raisin, which increase a bit in strength towards the end, leaidng to a bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
