Can at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Robust sourness with plenty of candy-like sweetness as well. Boozy like a cocktail, orange peel, bourbon, tart berries, bit vinous. Medium body. A lot going on. In your face, as expected from Cascade.

Canned Jan 8, 2021, drunk 9/14/22. Mostly clear, ruddy. Small, dark beige head, low retention. Definitely malty but with a big backdrop of bitters. Anise, bitter roots, cherry, vanilla, heavy lactic acid. It's insane that it's this strong on the bitters aspect after 20 months in can. But it doesnt smell bad. Just strong, intensely herbal. But no alcohol or big acetic notes. Malty and soft with cherry, vanilla, caramel and lingering bitter root. Really nicely balanced and no booze. Some barrel oxidation and oak character with chewy malt and lingering bourbon spice moderated by caramel and heavy fruitiness. Maybe a touch sweet, but not much so.

Near clear amber with a small off white head. Aroma of aniseed, orange peel, oak, vanilla, herbs. Odd combination, it’s not really working for me. Flavour is heavy sweet and sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can, 25cl. Color: Slightly hazy orangish light copper. fast disappearing light beige head. Aroma: Bourbon, fruity citrus, wormwood. Taste: Starting moderate to over moderate sweetish vanilla and Bourbon notes, combined with fruity notes of citrus, orange, orangepeel. Bitterness coming in in the middle and finishing with fruity and herbal / bit floral medium to over medium bitterness and wormwood notes. Accompanied by moderate tartness from beginning to finish. Special one, almost not beer-like anymore but very drinkable.
