On tap at Arrogant Sour Festival 2018. Dark brown, medium beige head. Sour, vinous, barrel, citrus, vinegar, some chocolate. Smooth, low carbonation. Medium bodied. Surprisingly good, easy to drink, not heavy as I've expected.

Bottle split at CBC Islington, thanks to Danny, 26/04/17. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is tarte fruit esters, spice, tangy, charr, cocoa rub, funk. Taste comprises soured fruits, spice, bretty pang, faint barrel, charr, light roast, stewed prunes, earthy. Medium + body, fine carbonation, funky drying close. Ok tangy impy but lacks depth for the ABV.

330ml bottle from Chez Sophie. Pours hazy dark brown, flat with no head. Curious aroma of whisky-tinged chocolate, roast and funk. Taste has a complex, layered, wild funk sweetness complimented by a soft whisky presence and additional nuts, cola and roast. Evolving and complex the flavours here really need a little sipping to be appreciated. I enjoyed it.

Almost opaque dark brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Light palate for the abv, modest carbonation. Slightly acidic and a little gueuzey vibe dominate the thin and mellow dark malts. Trace of dark chocolate. Some acetone. Gets tiresome pretty quickly. The number of sour Imperial Stouts that are good come just behind the Dodo population.
