Our newest West Coast IPA to come off the line is Santako. We've based this on one of our recent WCIPA's, Plasticity, but have replaced the Cascade portion of the dry hop with Amarillo to push the orangey citrus character further. Combined with Citra, Simcoe and Columbus the aroma immediately presents plenty of dank pine resin, marijuana, orange and grapefruit zest and some slight peachiness. The initial taste follows with more citrus and a little kiss of sweetness before finishing with a dry and firm bitterness that does't overstep the mark. The body is on the leaner, drier side yet with the little addition of a very light caramel malt, a slight sweet touch blends with the bitter finish to give some of that sticky, oily, resinous character that we love in West Coast IPA. This is a west coast IPA designed with drinkibility in mind and what's more it's even celiac-friendly.

200ml draught, outside at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Misty amber body, covering white head, spotty lacing. Inviting malt-fruity aromas. Quite well balanced taste character of citrus, including grapefruit and orange, moderate malty sweetness beneath. Rounded bittersweet tail. Pretty good. (Tromsø 28.06.2022).

On tap at Spicy Days, Zagreb. Shared with prof. Bekić and pbf_pivica. Unclear golden, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy, floral, elderflower, ripe fruit, earthy. Moderate bitterness, herbal, earthy and lightly fruity finish. A bit sharp. Lasting dry finish.

Canned 330ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized white head, piney herbal nose. Sweetish malty, piney, light herbal and fruity with mild bitter finish. Bit watery but drinkable.

On tap at Garage Beer Co, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Nose has piney hops, grainy notes and straw. Flavour is rather washed out, as many gluten free beers are, with piney hops, dry grains, and biscuity malt. For being GF, it's really not bad; it just doesn't compete with proper west coast IPAs.

Dorée sur léger pâle, col blanc.
Arôme est frais, bien houblonné, de belles effluves de fruité tropical et agrumes se démarquent - léger orange, pointe de pin. Rétro modéré des malts.
Palais est sur un rappel californien - bonne base de malt, cara pâle, pils, rondeur de bouche qui tranche avec l'apport d'amertume des houblons - agrumes sur léger orange et mandarine, pointe de pamplemousse, petite note d'aiguille de pin, groseille verte voire raisin blanc légers.
Garage continue sur des styles classiques - ici, une bonne vieille West Coast IPA, pas besoin de cette levure neipa pour faire une bonne IPA.
