Our newest West Coast IPA to come off the line is Santako. We've based this on one of our recent WCIPA's, Plasticity, but have replaced the Cascade portion of the dry hop with Amarillo to push the orangey citrus character further. Combined with Citra, Simcoe and Columbus the aroma immediately presents plenty of dank pine resin, marijuana, orange and grapefruit zest and some slight peachiness. The initial taste follows with more citrus and a little kiss of sweetness before finishing with a dry and firm bitterness that does't overstep the mark. The body is on the leaner, drier side yet with the little addition of a very light caramel malt, a slight sweet touch blends with the bitter finish to give some of that sticky, oily, resinous character that we love in West Coast IPA. This is a west coast IPA designed with drinkibility in mind and what's more it's even celiac-friendly.

23/VII/21 - 44cl can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ home, BB: 18/V/22, canned: 18/V/21 (2021-667)

Little cloudy (from the hop residu at the bottom of the can) gold to orange coloured beer, big creamy fluffy white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lovelys tuff, some citrus up front, followed by tropical fruits, very piny hops, smells like a very good old school West Coast IPA. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: quite some citrus, orange peel, very dry and bitter, bit resinous, grapefruit touch, little malty, grains, herbal touch. Aftertaste: good dry bitterness, grassy, fruity notes, citrus, very piny, resinous, a very good bitter West Coast IPA, I love it!!

Can in the garden, 1st July 2021. Pours a nice looking orange caramel colour. Aroma is resin, floral, pith and pine. Taste is bitter, candy, pithy, grapefruit, pine resin, it’s quite punchy and a good west coaster, which I like, glad they are coming back

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy amber body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Aroma of lemon and menthol. Flavour of underripe peach and zingy lemon. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. It’s bitter and sharp. Like the IPAs of ten years ago. Nice.
