Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, touch of nuts and some fruity hints. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Serviceable Dunkel, lots of sweet caramel malt.

Dunkles braun im Glas, kaum Schaum, in der Nase malzig, im Trunk ebenso, leicht röstig, könnte deutlich kräftiger im Geschmack sein, okay.

Bottle sourced at the brewery, summer 2022. Pours dark amber brown with a small white head. Nutty and earthy. Sweet chocolate and toffee. Toasted. Medium body with a rather low carbonation.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly nutty, toasty and minimally sour-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of hazelnut, whiffs of coffe and cocoa. Taste is toasty, slightly nutty, minimally sour-ish, dark malty, hints of hazelnut, dry cocoa, slightly herbal-grassy, bitter hoppy counterpart with a touch of sorrel. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Rather dry, no sweetness - OK.

Bottle recieved with euro swap 02-2021, many thank tot Hauxe! The beer is brown with a offwhite head. An aroma of roasted malts, nuts and licorice. The taste is mildly sweet with a nice light roasted bitterness at the back.

Brown with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of roasted grains, licorice, nuts. Taste is mildly sweet to bittersweet with a light roasted bitterness at the back. Medium bodied. Easy drinking, and refreshing.

Tap at the Franconian Beer Festival 2019. Dark brown with a low head. Almost black. Nose is licorice, chocolate, bread. SMooth and rich.

Hebendanz Dunkel '79, 5 %, Flasche aus dem Landbierparadies, Nürnberg. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase zart würziges dunkles Malz, Cornflakes, süßes Moos. - Im Antrunk weiches dunkles Malz, wenig röstig aber schön brotkrustig. Etwas matte Hopfenherbe, leichte Kräuter. Zurückhaltende Süße, Kakaopulver, zarte Anklänge an Lakritz. Milder rezent, weich, fast sahnig. Im Abgang noch ausreichende hintergründige Herbe. - Etwas holpriges aber originelles Dunkles mit eigenwilliger weicher Malzigkeit und sparsam skizzierter Herbe. (2.11.2018: 3,1.) Bei Wiederholung (Flasche von Grabsch) kräftiger röstmalzig, erfreulich wenig süß und im Abgang schön malzbitter und ausreichend hopfenherb. Röstiger und kerniger als viele Dunkle; recht angenehm.
