Hebendanz Dunkel '79, 5 %, Flasche aus dem Landbierparadies, Nürnberg. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienrotbraun, klar. Zurückhaltende Süße, Kakaopulver, zarte Anklänge an Lakritz. Milder rezent, weich, fast sahnig. (3.3.2023.)

Bottle. Very pretty dark brown with a copper shine, low offwhite head. Light nut and licorice aroma with a berry bottom. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Roast, rye bread, licorice, calvados, old wood, light boozy berry, licorice finish. Interesting.

Bottle, rating #8500. Dark brown color with ruby highlight. Aroma is strawberries, liquorice, mon chérie. Taste is schnapspraline, chocolate, earthy, liquorice. Oily, slightly watery mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Quite a heavy Dunkles, not exactly my type.

(bottle) Clear, brown colour with a ruby shine and a short and firm off-white foamy head. Toasted malty aroma with notes of chestnut, caramel and bread crust, accompanied by a delicately herbal hoppy background. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Dry toast-malty base with notes of caramel, dark chocolate, toasted cereals and slightly nutty accents; sweet-bitter finish with a nutty and mildly herbal hoppy tail. 02.V.18

50cl bottle. A clear orange brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild roasted dark malt, nuts, caramel. Taste of dark reddish malt, melasse, caramel, not too sweet, okay!

Nett. 8/9/10/9/10/9

Tap(@Hebendanz, Forchheim): Clear, ruby amber coloured, slowly collapsing loose off-white head; moderate dryish bready-toasty-malty nose with a certain fruitiness and well detectable traces of herbal hops; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, nearly medium bodied;slightly lingering dryish bready-malty finish with a herbal-hoppy aftertaste. Good franconian quality…
