This hazy NZ IPA delivers a punchy ripe stonefruit juiciness. The show piece hop is NECTARON. It has only just been released to the market and we have been enamoured by its complexity. The sweet peachy note is balanced with a spicy zing from a huge portion of malted and flaked oats along with a touch of rye malt. Everstone is complex in its malt, hop and fermentation flavour.

Do you think Prince was happy how people partied in 1999 once it came about? Hazy golden with a small head. Quite light in character for its strength, mild tropical fruit notes in both aroma and taste, but a good body.

Can from Waitrose. Hazy dark gold with small white top, modest retention. Aroma of passionfruit, gooseberry, some citrus and light flora; nice. Flavours of orange, melon, gooseberry, grass. Quite juicy but with a bitter grassy element in the finish; very nice. Near medium bodied and manages to be refreshing but still have enough bite. Good.

Can at home from who knows where. A really lively pour with a massive head. And a huge amount of crud in the bottom of the can. I've not seen anything like that for a long time. The beer was good, not mind blowing, but good. This was enjoyed in the sunshine with the family before moving inside for an excellent lasagne and a very good bottle of Rioja.

440ml can from Waitrose, Finchley Road, London. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit taste/aroma. A little sweet but also rather tasty. Nice surprise.

On tap at Coach Works Ashford Made Inn. Cloudy orange gold colour lasting white head. Some sherbet hop. Some orange tangerine citrus fruit. Yep good fruit juice. I liked it. Good intense tangerine.

Hazy golden pour with a huge head that disappears fast. Aromas of citrus, some herbs, hops and malts – taste quite similar for a decent bitter finish. Enjoyed it.
