33 cl bottle. Clear golden colour with a few white bubbles on top. Sweet aroma with pale malts, corn, and faint grasses. The taste is light sweet. Lighter body. Slightly drying finish. Fine after a hike in the hot weather.

Ljust halmgul klar vätsla med lätt och småbubblig skumslöja. Aromer av gräs och ljust bröd. Gräsig och något tunnmaltighet. Ren men nertonad neutral beska. En somrig törstsläckare.

330 ml clear bottle with tear-off cap, from Helgø Meny Stokka. ABV is 4.4%. Very pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of malts, maize, newmown grass and lightstruck hops. "Neutral" flavour with a little sweetness, slightly citric, very moderate bitterness. Boring, but not undrinkable.

Maybe it was because I had low expectations, but this beer surprised me. it had actually quite decent levels of noble aroma hops, and some bitterness took over in the aftertaste. That was not at all what I had expected. It also had a body that was surprisingly robust - even though it contains maize, which by the way is noticeable. It pours pale yellow and is completely clear, with a large fluffy white head, which remains sticks around surprisingly long. What in particular surprised me was the hops. Ok, we do not talk IPA levels here, but for a ICEd pale lager from the Mediterranean, I would have thought it would be more like an international bland pale lager. Maybe it was able to shine through a bit more since the previous beer I had was a sour one, but still. Looking over the rating after thinking the score was a bit high, I kind of concluded that if it is to be evaluated according to its style ... yeah, that is about right.
