bottle, as Komtur piwo ciemne from eBrowarium. Deep brown, almost black, with a mid-sized beige head. Medium- to full-bodied, lots of dark, roasty flavours, pleasant malty sweetness in the background, some molasses, dark honey and earthy hops in the finish. Smooth and velvety carbonation.

Barwa ciemnobrunatna, rubinowe przebłyski, piana jasnobeżowa, dość obfita, niezbyt trwała. W aromacie nieco kawy, ciemnych słodów, ciemnego pieczywa. W smaku półwytrawne, nieco palone, nieco kawowe, trochę gorzkiej czekolady, ciemnego chleba. Goryczka średnia, przyjemna. Wysycenie i ciało w normie, dobry balans. Solidny schwarzbier, w końcu klasyka, nie urywa niczego, ale wypić można.

Sampled as Komtur Piwo Ciemne Medium beige-cream head, dense, over deep brown to black beer. Brown sugar, caramel, hints at mocha, but mainly sweet dark syrups. More bitterish flavour, if a lot of sweet & dark malts rest underneath. Roasted to burnt, again (dry) coffee or Ersatzcoffee. Retronasal peppery impression. Light to medium bodied, slick but dry. Well-carbonated. Aftertaste is even more coffeeish. Bit strong for a Schwarz, too tame for a Stout. Yet I rather like it. Many thanks, Aga!

Caramel hints, some DMS. Not enough aromatic for me. Black liquid, short creamy head, no lacing. Very light bitterness, chocolate sweetness. Quite a lot of body, but too much carbonation. It’s too neutral.

Bottle, 6.5%. Brown sugar aroma, hint of fart. Dark brown colour, seems clear. Small stable tight light brown head. The flavour is sweetish, bready, ashy, liquoricy. Full mouthfeel. Not as clean as a real Schwarzbier, but more flavourful.
