Sample draft @ La Source shared with Tim, Erwin and Ama.

Double dry-hopped IPA, the third one in this Anguille series already, from La Source, the 'new' kid on the block in craft brewing Brussels. From tap at Dok Brewing Company, thanks Craftmember for sharing. Medium thick, snow white, moussy, slowly breaking head on a deep 'metallic' pure golden beer, only lightly hazed. Aroma of toasted onion, dried lemongrass, armpit sweat, mandarin, lime zest, cereals, unripe pineapple. Clean onset, restrainedly sweet with hints of green banana and hard pear, minerally carbonation, on the fizzy side for an IPA but tolerable enough; cereally, white-bready pale maltiness, sweetish and rounded, under a dank (armpit sweat again), zesty, grassy and oniony hoppiness, providing a long-lasting bitterness. Sleek, clean and technically well-brewed (as always with La Source), clearly intended as a 'new international compromise IPA' so to speak - in any case not the umpteenth juicy NEDIPA, in fact even closer to West Coast IPA in its bitterness, 'onioniness' and cleanness. Too bad I missed out on the first two versions for comparison - but I am sure there will be plenty of La Source ahead as this is clearly a very prolific brewery...
