Can, 9%. Clear deep amber with a good cm of off white head. Oozes pine, cooked kumquats, breadcrust. Full bodied, sweet. Only hints of stewed fruit. Brooding citrus and resin. Bitterness takes a while to struggle though but certainly does. There is a view that IIPAs have to lighten the load with sugar or dextrose lest they be too heavy to let the hops shine (and if you don't what's the point?). This is good but reminds me of that view.

From a 375ml can on 6/11/2019 (ABV listed as 9.0%, not 9.5%). Pours a clear dark golden/light amber with a medium head. The nose a mix of sweet malt and pine hops. Flavour wise, it's rather sweet up front with caramel and toffee of the malt side, with some citrus fruit, and a medium bitterness. The mouthfeel is a touch syrupy and the carbonation moderate. I actually quite enjoyed this, though be warmed it almost comes across as dessertish. Probably won't appeal to those looking for a big, bitter hop bomb, but it's quite tasty.
