Sensory Sessions #109: brown-black color and a deep tan head, which dissapears quickly. Sweet-malty Taste, milk chocolate, cocoa, faint bitter. Licorice in the nose.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 01.02.2021/bbe 06.01.2026) im 2024-03 getrunken. Dieses Stout wirkt etwas dreckig an der Glaswand. Das Aroma hat eine leichte Robusta Säure und kräftige Milchkaffee-Schokoladen-Aromen, die aber nicht perfekt zu der feinen Säure paßt. Trotzdem ein sehr gutes Bier.

On tap at Man in the Moon. Black with a small tan head. Sweet with chocolate, dark malt, vanilla and light orange. Some warming notes.

0,5 flaske fra godtebutikken i Straensenteret, delt hjemme med Kitty som avslutning på bursdagsfeiringen. Brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Mine notater fra den originale Mudslide er fortsatt like aktuelle: Feit sjokoladekake med kaffekrem som fyll hvor et par overmodne bjørnebær lilgger gjemt. Kakao, vanilje og enda mer sjokoladeglede. Mild men tilfredsstillende bitterhet i avslutningen, minner om moccabønner og eksklusive 70%-sjokolader. Ser allerede frem mot versjon 3.

Black with a brown head - Malt aroma with some chocolate notes - Malt body with ome roasted notes and choclate flavours as well with bitterness in the back - the malt and chocoalte flavours with bitterness goes into the finish - This was good

500ml bottle, batch nr. 2375, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A low, tan-coloured head, poor lacing, jet black in the glass, sediments to the last pour. Promising chocolate malts on the nose, nicely roasted, mid-sweet. Taste fine with cocoa-chocolate, dark bread and nuts, backbone of lactose. Very smoothly roasted ending, warming down the swallow. Surprisingly easy to drink. Good drinking. (Watching the football match between Spain and Poland, hotel room, Harstad 19.06.2021).

Bottle. Black body with a medium sized tan head. Pleasant aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate and some coffee. Taste is sweet, smooth, dark malt, toffee, milk chocolate, coffee and just enough bitterness. Balanced body with a long lasting aftertaste. Nice, not too sweet or artificial pastry stout. Don’t’ see the big difference from the first edition.

YG 080521. Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, berries, nuts, lactose. Very nice beer.
