This is the beer which started it all. Braybrooke Keller Lager is our version of the Franconian Kellerbier, an unfiltered and unpasteurised beer which keeps all of the best flavour while delivering the ultimate lager refreshment.

It’s a proper lager, which means bottom-fermentation, cold storing then maturing over a number of weeks before release. Full flavoured, thanks to our Franconian malt and hops, this is lager as it’s meant to be.

Tap to bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Murky gold-amber in colour with thin white top. Aroma has a caramel, yeast, dried fruit, spice but ultimately it does smell like its been part brewed in a dank cellar. Taste of biscuit, sultanas, dried citrus zest, caramel, toasted grains, dankness. Moderate long bitterness. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Not sure I'm drinking this in its best condition but its quite characterful.

On tap at Azvex, pours a clear copper orange with a small white head. Aroma is malty, with dry bready malt, a hint of caramel, and some herbal notes. Flavour is dry and malty, with bready notes, very light herbal notes, and straw. Bready, dry-ish finish nothing very interesting or on-point. Meh.
