It’s a proper lager, which means bottom-fermentation, cold storing then maturing over a number of weeks before release. Full flavoured, thanks to our Franconian malt and hops, this is lager as it’s meant to be.

Bottle from the Plumsteadshire online shop. Amber pour with a white head. Nose is citrus fruits, banana, dessert pear. Taste is pear, splash more banana, lots of sweet fruit. Sweet fruit dominates the finish too. Refreshing , easy drinking number. Good stuff.

Keg tap at the 2019 Leicester Beer Festival. Dark gold to light amber with a tiny ring of off-white head. Caramel and orange zest in the aroma. Sweet chewy taste with eggy brioche in the finish. Nicely carbonated.

Bottle from Wine Reserve, Cobham (not Chobham - admittedly initially got that the wrong way around). Sweet gluey marzipan aroma. Caramel brown. Thin translucent white head mainly clings to the rims. Light nutty sweetness with some bitterness hanging around on the periphery. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long slightly sickly finish. Had heard good things about this brewey but this is just an average, if not overly chemical/industrial, lager. Looking at previous rating, perhaps it's better on tap.

Many thanks to jjsint in Leicester for a bottle, #042, of this one. Bubbly pearl white head to a clear golden-brown body, clingy lacing. Earthy malts on the nose, distant hints of herbal hops. Pale malt driven flavours with impacts of noble hops. Mid-dry ending. Clean on the swallow. Satisfying. (Shared with lmojoh, Finn and djoeye, Rating session at Finn's in Tromsø 06.03.2019).

Gave fra jjsint. Delt med djoeye, lmojoh og Rune på Nerstranda. Gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum. Litt lacing. Forsiktig maltaroma. Smaken karamell. Beskjeden. Tørr avslutning.
