Can (1/2/24) pour shared by Steve. Hazy maple syrup brown with reddish hue, thin head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong dark roast, cola, leather, milder anise, hint of dark fruit. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Excellent strength for ABV(!) w/decent complexity.

16 ounce can. Barely translucent dark brown color. Frothy tan head. Subtle roasted malt aroma hints at licorice and dark toast. Smooth, roasted malt flavor. Notes of dark chocolate, licorice, cardamom and toasted walnuts. Smooth and flavorful.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark mahogany with a large foamy beige/tan head. Toasty Euro malt aroma with hints of yeast and perhaps chocolate. Med body or so. Flavor is the aroma minus the chocolate. Hints of cola and wood. Not a Schwarzbier. Very good flavor.

Pint can thanks to mansquito, 6/23/21. Clear dark red brown, large fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, nut shells, earth. Taste is toffee, grain, earth, raw beans, dark fruits, cherry. Some vinyl. Weird, but good.

Can from the source: pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is pretzels, some hints of dark fruit, vague licorice-like notes. Taste is somewhat bitter, lightly sweet, herbal. Body is a little sticky. Aftertaste lingers well. Solid.
