In 2019 we traveled to the Czech Republic for pilsner, got home, and couldn't stop thinking about dark lager. Indelible is a wink to Tmavé Pivo, a historic and important style just starting to get its dues in the craft world. Indelible showcases roasty malt complexity in a way that's creamy and highly drinkable with a low ABV. Whereas Volition (our Black Lager) is dry with slight dark German pretzel roast notes, Indelible leans towards rich chocolate, bearing full flavor and smooth texture, and finishing at just 4.4%. As with our other Czech lagers, Indelible is brewed with 100% Czech ingredients and is largely differentiated from other German lagers in our lineup by the Czech lager yeast used in fermentation. German yeast yields drier, crisper beers, Czech yeast, richer and fuller ones.

Can (1/2/24) pour shared by Steve. Hazy maple syrup brown with reddish hue, thin head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong dark roast, cola, leather, milder anise, hint of dark fruit. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Excellent strength for ABV(!) w/decent complexity.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark mahogany with a large foamy beige/tan head. Toasty Euro malt aroma with hints of yeast and perhaps chocolate. Med body or so. Flavor is the aroma minus the chocolate. Hints of cola and wood. Not a Schwarzbier. Very good flavor.
