Ketzer Lager is a Franconian inspired Helles, a style that has long been close to our hearts. Striving to reflect the pure balance, nuance, and quality found in this traditional style, Ketzer is brewed with German Pilsner malt, just a kiss of Vienna and Light Munich and hopped with selected Perle, Hallertau Mittelfrüh, and Saphir hops. A gentle biscuit malt character and a noble floral, spicy hop aroma prevails with notes of wildflower honey, citrus zest, alpine herbs and a hint of peppercorn. To ensure that classic mouthfeel and expressive mineralty, Ketzer is unfiltered and naturally carbonated, leaving nothing but joy.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: cloudy rustic yellow to orange color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: floral to grassy spicy hoppiness up front with a light biscuity malt backbone
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas together fairly malty sweet with a light aftertaste of biscuits and grassy spicy hops
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; fairly smooth along the tongue; finishes crisp and semi-floral with some grassy spicy hops
Overall: to me a nicely done lager I would return to.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear, straw color, with a medium, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is cane sugar, quinine, light sage, green tea, and white pepper. Sweet and sugary, with a light, lovely bitterness. Light, crisp, and bright. Quality lager, with a lovely, spicy, yeasty character.

Pour is a chill haze gold with a large white head. Aroma is biscuit and bready malt. Flavor is a very clean bready lager malt with a minor sulfur yeast residual. Pretty nice helles. Clean and flavorful.
