The aroma is a blend of fresh grassy and floral hop and a subtly soft, caramel-tinged maltiness. The palate is a balance of gentle grainy maltiness and sprightly floral, citrusy fresh hop fruitiness. The finish is bittersweet with hints of citrus fruit weaving in and out.

Cask, full pint, cellar cold at The Flying Horse, Gatwick. Slightly unclear golden-amber body. Tiny, white head reduced to a patchy surface. Malt-fruity smell. Some apricot mixed with grain in flavour. Too few hints of hop bitterness to the ending. Alright, but not in prime shape at the pub. In fact, rather vapid in the mouth (waiting for hours at the airport for a new plane, 08.08.2009).

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Amber with a dense cream head; sweet honey aroma; creamy texture with honey and biscuity malt flavours; and a slightly bitter finish. Unexciting.

Cask at GBBF08. Hazy dark golden colour. Lagery flavour with a little hop citrus. Starts off bad, but turns better. The citric hops are OK.
