Creamy off white head stayed on an unclear chestnut coloured body. Spiced, raisin, malt & berry aroma. Medium bodied, smooth creamy & cloying on the back. Nutty, bread, malt, raisin & Christmas cake tastes. Big tasty beer.

500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Rather weak, minimally toasty, dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of rock sugar. Taste is relatively dry, toasty, dark malty, slightly caramel malty, hints of malt lozenge, caramel, incidental residual sweetness. Minimally creamy, dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft carbonation. Nice colour, good mouthfeel, not overly complex, well controlled sweetness - decent.

Pours a ruby brown colour and a rocky beige head with good retention. Aroma's of dark malts, rye bread, caramel, a bit red fruit. Flavour is moderate malty sweet. Medium bodied. Prickly carbonation. Hints of bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. Nose is a rich treacle and brown sugar, pleasing yeast and musty smell. Taste is sweet, treacle, brown bread, yeast, nutty, caramel, sweet malt, some emerging fruitiness slight banana and cloves character with a gently bitter and spice finish. Taste didn't quite match the wonderful nose

Klar bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Süß malziger Geruch mit Karamell. Geschmacklich malzig mit Karamell, etwas Toffee und Schokolade. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear deep amber-gold with a creamy, tan head. Moderately sweet with notes of ripening semi-dark fruits, toasted malts, mild caramel, brown bread. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, more toasted bread, ripening berries. Tasty beer.
