Quick half @ Hereford Beer House. Pours hazed mahogany, well-appointed off-white head atop. Pleasant grainy malt aroma. Taste is smooth with nice chewy malt, caramel, cello resin, gentle spice hints. Comes together well with an appealing sweetness. Very good.

500ml bottle from 'Beers of Europe': BB 6th May 2020. Poured into an old 'Schultheiss' glass at home on 29th Mar 2020. Clean and clear mahogany body, lasting beige head. Sweet and malty with a barely hidden alcohol kick, nowhere near the best Doppelbock I've had, but I really enjoyed this.

Bottle at home. Brown color, medium sized beige head. Aroma and flavor is malts, dark malts, dark sugar notes and distant raisin hints. Decent body and average carbonation. Ok.

Bottle from Eltham Wines. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Toffee apple,cola,banana, some dark fruit aroma. Rich,warming taste of dark berries,toffee,dates,more toffee apple. Excellent.

0,5 l bottle from Getränkefeinkost, Münster. Very dark red brown with an huge nearly three finger frothy pale beige head. Looks really good. Low malty smell. Taste starts really malty, also smooth. Sweetness in the background, toasted grain and caramell. Hidden alcohol. Really really great enjoyable stuff!

500ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a large head. Aroma is malty raisin, caramel and cola. Taste has caramel and raisin. A little apple on the finish. Creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle. Clear dark brown-ruby color with beige head. Aroma is molasses, raisins, sirupy, nutty. Taste is nutty, roast, earthy, brown sugar. Mineralic silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. At first it seems to sweet, but it's actually not. A decent classic Doppelbock!
