On tap at Bergen Ølfestival. A lightly hazy brown beer with a dense, off-white head. Dried fruits, caramel, some alcohol, a sweetish touch, notes of citrusy, piney hops and a hint of chocolate and nuts in the aroma. It’s full bodied, smooth and with a faint warmth on the palate, a nice bitterness shows up too. Caramel, dried fruits, hints of nuts and chocolate and citrusy, piney hops in the flavor, all lasting for a good while along with the hoppy bitterness. A delicious barley wine. 150906

Pours hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, brown sugar, dried fruits and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, caramel, fruity and brown sugary finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Small shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, worth, sugar, grass, hay, nuts. Taste is slightly sweet grassy, caramel malts, grass, weeds, worth, almond essence, alcohol, bark. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Kind of boring.
