500ml bottle, batch 109, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg Tromsø. Clear dark golden body under a pearl white head leaving lacing rings down the glass. Ripe citrus and mid-sweet grain malts on the nose. Honeyed fruity taste profile sustained by herbal hops. Backdrop of citrus shells towards the ending. Medium bodied. A decent ipa version with session qualities (Tromsø 12,03,2017).

Bottle. A hazy dark orange-golden colored beer with a finger thick off-white head. Rather piney, resiny aroma with a touch of orange zest. Some husk and grass. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, pleasant carbonation and a good bitterness. Many session IPA’s lack bitterness I think, not this one. Pine cones orange zest and grapefruit flavors, with some light biscuity malts in the back. Long bitter finish. There’s something homebrewish about this one, but it’s a decent brew anyway. Plus for the bitterness. 170219

Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lett maltpreg over denne, noe karamell i lukt. Lett start, medium bitterhet kommer fra midten og sitter utover. En fin "bitter"

50cl bottle at Toppen bar, Lillehammer. Pours hazy amber with lasting, white head. Hoppy aroma with pine, citrus, herbs, some yeasty notes, pale malt and hints of peaches. Moderate sweet with dominating hoppy flavours and a fairly strong bitterness. Medium+ body with fairly average carbonation. Nice and refreshing IPA, certainly decent brew. --- Beer merged from original tick of Steinøl IPA on 24 Sep 2015 at 22:18 - Score: 7
