On tap at TCBW 2016. Clear deep amber with a rather small, off-white head. Fruity, herbal and caramelly with pine and hints of citrus and tropical fruits. Medium sweet, medium flavour intensity and a distinct bitterness. Tap at Toronado.. Hazed reddy brown coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is nice pine needle, woody, orange, nutty malts. Flavour is semi sweet toasted grains, pine needle, bark, woody, burnt orange. Roasted bread. Palate is semi sweet, hop resin, highish carbonation. Another good hoppy one from boneyard.

These guys continue to impress me, ever since I went and visited their little brew pub that is about the size of your average walk in closet. Little guys. Big beers. How is the IRA not its own style yet? Seems like its one of those on the fence styles that half of them get called IPAs and the other half are called ambers. Maybe I’m missing something, and I suppose this is the inappropriate place to ask my dumb beer questions. Either way, this is a good beer. I guess this fits in the universal beer style of "good.". Pours a dark copper red color with a patchy head and infinite lacing. High carb, caramel malt favor with a cool finish. Nutty malt aroma. Another solid offering from these guys.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a reddish orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity piney hoppy aroma. Fruity malty piney skunky hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy piney bitter finish.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar Victoriagade. Pours deep reddish golden with a small creamy offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty and slightly fruity with caramel, biscuits, sweet dark bread, grapefruit juice, mango, moist grass, pine needles, moist soil, lemon zest and hints of red apples. Taste is sweet, bitter, slightly malty and slightly fruity. Mouthfeel is round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with caramel, biscuits, grapefruit, mango, red apples, moist grass, pine needles and lemon zest. Not a fan of amber ales but this is a solid beer.

Keg at Mikkeller Viktoriagade, 30/04/15. Clear reddish amber with moderate light beige spotting. Nose is earthy hop, light pine, skunky hop, caramel malt. Taste comprises caramel malt, pine needle, grapefruit, light spice, candied fruit peel, skunky hop wash. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent hoppy amber.

Bigger Copenhagen bimble with Colin, Ronnie, Reuben and Alex. Mikkeller Vik. Keg. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is pretty dry and is finely crisp. Thin malts, slightly sweet. Trace of wood, then orange peel and bright tangerine. Little hop spice. Dry finish. Dry but tasty.
