This excellent eleven-degree lager was first brewed in Pilsen in 2008. It contains 4.7% alcohol and excels with its full hoppy taste thanks to the unique triple hopping, in which the Pilsen brewers use a variety of the best quality Žatec hops – Žatec semi-early red hops. Every sip will make you want to drink more.

Bohemian Pilsener with some caramel malts and extra hops added at the end of the brewing process. Off-white head, a tad darker than usual for the style thanks to the caramel malts, stable, sticky and fluffy, colour a deep golden blonde, clear. Sweetish Pilsener malt aroma, hint of caramel and honey, spicy hops revealing themselves in odours of straw, grass and pine needles, some iron as well. Fresh malt sweetness, bit grainy, caramelly touch, smooth and slick, bit metallic, well-rounded, grassy, pretty long hop bitterness in the end. More than decent.

500ml can shared with Charly and Finn. Firm off-white head leaving fragile lacing behind. Clear, pale amber coloured body. Pale malty aroma mingled with grassy hops. Malt-accented taste, caramel and bread. Hints of herbal hops. More sweet than bitter ending. Soft in the mouth. Straightforward and alright (Tromsø 19.02.2014).

Boks 0,5l fra Albert supermarket, Praha. Delt med Rune & Charly under samling på Nerstranda 19 Feb 14. Gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum som etterlater litt lacing. Bla maltaroma. Smaken er søt malt. Litt syrlighet i ettersmaken.

Can, kindly shared by Arve_Christian. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Malty aroma with hints of fruit and hops. More hops and bitterness in the finish than expected. The malty sweetness becomes more dominating as it gains temperature. Slightly better than 10° and in my opinion also more refreshing than the 12° (Premium). We tried them together on a sunny afternoon, and this was my favourite of the three. (2012-07-20) --- Beer merged from original tick of Gambrinus Excelent 11° on 22 Jun 2016 at 17:13 - Score: 5
