Bottle from Beer Ambleside. Appearance - dark brown and opaque. Nose - rocky road up front. Syrup and chocolate edge. Taste - syrup and coffee up front. Marshmallow kicks in. Dry boozy finish. Palate - medium to full bodied and boozy. Roasty at the same time. Roasty boozy finish. Overall - good but not as good as hoped.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thin tan head. Smells like candy floss at first, then rocky road. Taste is heavy on the coffee notes, then marshmallow at the end. Roasted bitter finish. Bit boozy.

330ml bottle. Black with a small beige/tan head. Aroma is sweet, marshmallows, vanilla. Taste is very sweet, creamy, marshmallow, vanilla, chocolate, dark malts, slightly bitter. Medium-full body, very smooth. Not quite as good as Tiramisu or Tonka Shake but another Hawkshead impy stout I've really enjoyed.

Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, decent rich dark chocolate, slightly bitterish. The marshmallow sweetness is obvious and sits aside the dark malts rather than fully integrated. Nontheless this is a drinkable Impy, not quite the smasher I was hoping for.

Bottle, picked up at a shop on the main road outside Hawkshead, because Hawkshead didn’t have it on tap, or in the fridge! Anyway. Pours clear, deep brown. Slim ring of tan. Nose has gooey toffee. Chocolate caramel truffle. Dried vine fruit. Toasted marshmallow. Rich fudge. Taste is leg amputation sweet. A modicum of vine fruit bitterness. Medium body. Slick and rich. Low carbonation. Pleasantly bitter on the finish. Nice one. Bit bonkers.
