Farewell Bespin Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, thin and dry and has decent fine carbonation. Very light malts. Dry floralness. Pinch of spice. Little generic fruit. Dry finish. Too dry and thin for me to excited about anything else going on, which wasnβt much.

Bottle shared at Leightons place, 19/01/2017. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A light hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting fluffy white head. Attractive. Aroma is nice classic saison yeast, wheat, orange rind, sweet light malts, tangerine. Flavour is composed of light grains, hint of orange rind, straw, tangerine, slightly rustic. Good. Palate is fine, semi sweet, highish carbonation. Good example of the style.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Beergium. Pours clear gold, lightly effervescent, with a billowing, frothy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with some dry sourdough, wheaty biscuits, a little alcohol, straw, mild yeast, lemon meringue. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Finishes with a little warmth, more biscuity character, ripe lemon, drizzle cake, hay. Good stuff.

Keg at CP&K. It pours lightly hazy amber with thick off - white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, bready, cake, muffin, floral, gingerbread, stone fruit, pepper and cereal. The taste is dry, bitter, bit funky, farmyard, wood, bready maltage, earth, resin, orange peel, floral action and spice with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate - high carbonation. Pretty well - rounded. A hearty saison.

Bottle from Old Town. Pours a deep gold with a bit of cloudiness and a huge 2 finger, rocky head that lingers. Tons of funk, hay, musty cobwebs, and horse blanket. Active carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Lemon tartness, more hay on the palate. Almost like an Orval in some ways. Lingering musty lemon zest and hay on the finish. Great stuff from BF and Iβll be looking for more of their beers. --- Beer merged from original tick of Classic on 25 Dec 2016 at 14:17 - Score: 8. 750ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, snow-white head. Peppery and herbal spicy, yeasty aroma, notes of brine, white pepper, mustard seed, underlying, cautious hints of apricot and peach, a (white) vinous touch, hints of grapes. Taste is dry hoppy, slightly tart, tangy, slightly fruity, subtle residual sweetness with a sugar powder touch, notes of brine, mustard seed, white pepper, apricot, peach, mirabelle, some citrus, a (white) vinous touch of grapes and silica; refreshing, lively carbonation. Wonderfully balanced, rich and manifold - superb!
