For Vintage Ale 2018 we’ve stayed close to home; all of our ingredients have been sourced from the UK. Tropical, citrus and apricot flavours take centre stage, delivered by Ernest and Olicana hops. Pale ale malt from the finest Maris Otter barley combines with Crystal malt to give the beer a rich biscuit sweetness. As with every Vintage Ale, the flavours of this beer will develop for many years to come, like a fine wine or whisky

Bottled (from Alko Prisma). Amber colour with a mediumsized off-white foamy head. Aroma is toffee, some floral, mild fruity and some wooden tones to it. Flavour is quite rich on a floral and herbal bitterness along with some mild fruity and spicy tones, and the malt is just giving a slight backbone to it. Pleasant.

From a 500ml bottle on 9/4/2023 (bottle no. 122502). Pours a lightish clear amber with a smallish head. The nose is malty, fruit and plummy, like others in the series. Tastes of light caramel and toffee malt, with some dried and stewed fruit, followed by a light, ever so slightly spicy bitterness. Has a slightly syrupy palate with softish carbonation. Not the best vintage I've had, but still very good.

Just a light haze on this orange amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly airy and mildly dry, late emerging decent fine carbonation. Lovely malts, a mildly sweet caramel and cream, very smooth. A little dark toffee underneath. Four year old Ernest and Olicana hops still taste mighty good. Orchard fruits, smooth ripe fruits, a very mellow tangerine marmalade. Soft pine and even a little hop spice. Finishes smooth with everything coming together. Tastes like it was brewed this year! Marvellous!

Thanks Ogi for this one! Shared with Hrabren and him. Murky dark amber-brown body, tiny off-white head. Creamy, peachy fruity aroma initially, bit caramel and heavy dust. Caramel and raisins pop up in the weirdly lean, dry taste, ending bitterish. Whatever hoppiness it might have had, it largely lost. Not my type really, just a bit too old.
