Draught @ MBCC. Pours very dark brown with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee, dark fruit. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, little alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish. 120517

MBCC. Very dark brown with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, medium sweet, hop, liquorice and a little bitter.

Draught, last beer on the first day of MBCC. Blue Session. Deer black, tiny beige head, scattered lacing. Plain chocolate malty nose. Blended dark malty flavours of chocolate, liquorice and earth. Smoothly roasted finish. Medium to full bodied. Nice one. (Copenhagen 12.05.2017).

Tap at TCBW (as Noir ’16, 7% ABV). Pours black. Aroma is chocolate, roast, malt, some fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, licorice, fruits. Overall: good enough.

Sample at MBCC 2017. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate and some dried fruit. Similar taste. The body was medium and the finish on the dry side.
