The nose shows intense notes of roasted cashews with a background of ripe juicy blackberries and marshmallows.

The palate is full bodied, thick and slick. Intensely and juicy blueberry forward with light cashews in the background. More blueberries that seems to go on forever.

Bottle shared by Angst. Thanks buddy! Pours deep dark red, still. Aroma has an insane amount of blueberry, cashews, caramel-like honey notes. Taste is out of this world crazy good too. Insanely concentrated blueberries, sweet jammy, light acidity, cashews, sweet honey backbone. Can't see how this could be any better. Just wow. Another straight 5 added to the mead list, hah.

Clear medium to dark red - purple colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy honey, alcohol, spicy, fruity, berries, blueberry, cashew nut. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, honey, floral honey, berries, blueberry - very intense concentrated blueberry, cashew nuts, spicy, medium dry. Bottle, many thanks _angst_! Dark purple color with no head. Aroma is intense berries, cashew nuts ok. Taste is super smooth, though extremely intense, all the flavours there, but very, very sweet. I am amazed at how well they manage to somehow not become cloying, although there's almost no acidity to balance the sweetness out. Velvety mouthfeel, flat. Almost overdone, but it still works.

Bottle courtesy of Linus. Viscous deep purple pour. Very rich sweet berry, chocolate and nut butter nose. Insanely rich taste where cashew nuts come forward with the berries. On the sweet side but there is a suiting balancing tartness. Floral honey is there and leaves a mark but also leaves room for berries & nuts. Definitely on my radar from now on. Hand bottled with care and consumed at once. No signs of spoilage. Thanks for sharing Linus!

2017 rating : Bottle at Night of the Great thirst 2017 - Lovell -Maine . Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours dark purple, smell is full, sweet, honey. Full, complex. wood and blackberries. taste is ful, creamy, sweet, crisp, almost ’malty’ in a way due to the MF and complexity. Very intense. One of the best meads I came across. 2020 re-rate : Pours nearly black, smell is nutty, berries, intense and perfect. Taste is full, intense, nutty, berries, sweet, sticky, full. Very nutty ending. Avoiding perfection seems to be the only art this meadery doesn't master , judgeing by this mead. Upping the score from 9.3 to the current 9.8 . might turn into a straight 10 if it shocks mle a third time.
