250mL bottle, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma has some oxidation, whiskey barrel, and gentle toasted malts. Flavour is light, with whiskey barrels, toasted malt, and some oxidation. A bit too oxidized but it’s pleasant.

Bottle. A black one, with a small beige head. Peat, roasted malts, some coffee and dark chocolate in the aroma, with some notes of dark dried fruit. Cocoa, licorice and alcohol. It's full-bodied, warming and sweet, with a soft bitterness. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, peat and some brown sugar in the flavor. Dark dried fruit. Lasting finish. A bit rough this one, but sure nice. 241019

250ml shared with Ryan. 25th Akkurat anniversary beer. Appearance: almost black with a nice beige head. Aroma: inky, roasty, some dark fruits and whiskey barrel. Taste: along the same lines, nice body, nice sweetness, not very roasty. Overall: good one, just very pricey for such a small bottle.
Woah, peat bomb! Great body, thick, strong and firm. Lots of roast, oldschool heavy salty licoricecoffee stuff. The barrel is very present, with peat aplenty. I can see people easily finding this too strong, but I love it.
Black with a lasting tan head. Mild roasted aroma with chocolate, cocoa, dried fruit, liquorice, toffee and a hint of mint. Deep chocolate roasted flavour, dried fruit, and whisky notes of vanilla and oak and a touch of smoke. Medium sweet with a light bitter finish. Perfectly balanced and really rich and complex beer, even if it doesn't quite reach the otherworldly level of my fond memories of the original.

Borefts XII. Day 1. Opaque dark brown beer small beer, good tan head. Smooth dark malts, rich dark chocolate. Whiskey fruits. Spicy finish. Yeah a good Kaggen, spicy and dark chocolate but not good enough to join the top tier for me.
