Our beautiful Gogo was a legendary shebeen queen in Sophia Town during the prohibition era of the 1950’s. She entertained friends in her simple dining room with kwela jazz and cold spicy drinks. This is her recipe. We brew it to honour the great women in our lives – past & present. This ginger-spiced beer is enjoyed then and now as a spritzy refreshing drink
