Tap at the brewery. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized beige head. Aroma is malts, dark and toasted malts. Flavor is malts, soft roasty notes, malty bitter. Don't get any bourbon. Dusty coffee is there, but bourbon is nowhere to be found. Decent body, a bit dry finish, average carbonation. Meh.

Draft at the brewpub. Near black with a tan head. Aroma of big coffee, cold brew, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and roast. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV bij Stadsbrouwerij Eindhoven. Het is een donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een volle crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur met tonen van vanille. De smaak is koffie achtig met duidelijk aanwezige bourbon en vanille in de afdronk. Zodra het schuim een beetje weg ebt ruik je de bourbon ook.
