Can. Clear amber with a cm of almost white head. 3+ Grunty aroma with lots of tenor register fruit (some tropical, kumquat), breadcrust and pine. Full bodied, quite low carbonation. Bready with some sun-dried peach; citrus and some other fruity notes show briefly before firm resinous bitterness takes over. The malt side is a bit jube-like. What's largely supplanted this sort of thing has its problems too but even on a cold-for-Melbourne night it feels heavy largely for its own sake. But it's still pretty good.
