Blå Fjord

Bottle@Pressbyrån, Stockholm. Amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some toffee and a bunch of spicy tones. Flavour is fruity, some floral, mild spicy and caramelly tones. Some funk to it as well.

Pours relatively clear , medium dark blonde. Medium large white head quickly fades. Scent is relatively mild. A touch of saison-style phenols, but not as loud as expected. Taste is surprisingly accurate - saison very recognizable, dry and bitter, with the kveik spicyness in the back. Mild salty touch, perhaps better recognizable when known it's an ingredient, but surely not hidden either. Fun little experiment, that's original. Surprisingly 'average', but that speaks positively about the balance and drinkability. De Ranke style hoppy notes (do they still brew there, or is this a result of their past / Coincidence ? ) Easy drinker. Medium high carbo - as fits the style. Not bad at all !

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of wheat, toasted malt, overripe fruit, barnyard and spices. Pours cloudy amber color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts mild to medium sweet bready, grassy and faint dried fruity, following is salty and yeasty, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Salty troll…

33cl at Pressklubben. Poured clear golden. Sweet with honey and nakts. Wheat and apicy notes.

--Bottled, from Systembolaget. -- Clear golden, mid sized head. Fruity and salty up front. Mid sweet with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Mildly salted ripe fruit on dough. Mid bitter finish.

A golden beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has fruitness, apricot, also some dried and sweet fruits, some sourness. Taste has fruitness, some fructose and sourness. Medium bodied. Pretty nice.

Dorée sur un léger voile, col épais blanc-cassé.
Arôme sur un bouquet sur les céréales - grains concassés - houblonné avec un côté pot-pourri, pointe de citronné et baie blanche/verte type groseille (quoique très subtile) avec un léger caramel en rétro-nasal - ce malt néerlandais donne vraiment cet effet caramel beurre salé.
Palais sur un base de céréales avec une approche rustique belge, pils marqué avec une petite note sèche. A cela s'ajoute un léger caractère minéral-salin venant de ce malt Salty Caramel. Le tout penche presque sur une gose-allemande à l'accent scandinave avec une petite douceur de caramel en retrait avec une fine onctuosité. Niveau houblon, cela reste sur une amertume plutôt noble - fleuri et terreux - la fin de bouche

Pretty clear deep orange beer, small creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, hay, caramel touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: salty start, malty touch, pretty bitter, banana peel, more salty, grains. Aftertaste: sweet touch, banana peel, metallic, hay, very bitter and dry, little fruity, nice one!
