Pours a clear looking orange color with a small white head. Beautiful refreshing smell of citrus. Mouthfeel is wonderful. Starts off soft and creamy but then high carbonation hits in. It’s like the citrus aroma and bitterness comes straight from the bubbles - tingly sensation on the tongue is top notch and very refreshing. Finish is mostly dry and bitter. Overall, this is a great example of the style. Recommended!

Bottle, best before July 2016, drunk 1/8/16.
Copper-golden body is clear and well-carbonated with an off-white head atop that shows moderate retention.
Floral, lightly citrusy hops are definitely prominent in the nose, but are atop a layer of rather bready/papery malts that seem quite dull. A hint of metal, perhaps, but otherwise clean, with no alcohol and (at least) no resin or aggressive hop character.
Pretty mindless drinking, with highly attenuated malts leaving behind a somewhat scratchy/husky texture. Hop bitterness is mild and the light grapefruit zest, fresh dill and cucumber-like hop character remains, though there are touches of soapiness. A worthy effort, but the Irish seem better suited to brewing delicious stouts.

Bottle. Vibrant golden beer with a strong whitish head. The aroma is well hopped with some yeastiness, and the flavour is deeply hopped and very dry with some smooth toffee elements. Overall a nice well hopped ale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle. Very clear golden colour with a small creamy white head. Aroma is hoppy, malty, doughy/bready - not too keen on that part. Flavour is also very hoppy with a fruity bitterness, citrusy finish.

Bottle from Dart at Stateline. Pours bright gold with a large creamy white head. Citrus aroma. Med body with a lot of carbonation that left quickly. Flavor is citrus, sort of grapefruit rind, sort of zesty, with some malt support that’s a bit different from what I usually find. Drinks easily.

Ein Bier, das ich bereits vor Jahren einmal aus der Flasche getrunken habe. Jetzt hab ich ein frisch gezapftes Exemplar vor mir und denke, warum ich nur so eine niedrige Prozentzahl vergeben habe, jetzt würd ich wohl 65-70% geben. Es überzeugt durch die frischen Hopfenaromen welche neben einem Feuerwerk an Aromen auch noch ein angenehmes Prickeln im Mund hinterlassen. Ein gutes Bier, das man unbedingt gezapft probieren sollte.

500 ml bottle. Dark golden color with good white head. Aroma: flotal, blooming acacia, fruits (passion fruit, mango, peach), sweet citrus. Taste: clean and smooth, a little watery, bitter grapefruit, sweet fruit, spicy, pine needles.

Bottle, 0.50l, sampled from CanCrusher. Clear deep golden color with medium soapy white head and fair lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, grass, pine and caramel. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and honey, follows by fruity and herbal notes, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Well balanced surprise from Ireland...
