This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.

Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish. Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.

Bottle, supermarket purchase. From old notes. Poured clear golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma of grain, citrus, malt, caramel, flowers. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Average carbonation. Wasn't a Fullers highlight.

Old note. Bottle 500 ml. Clear light golden beer, good foam. Very interesting aroma, rich floral tones, fruits with citruses. Taste: malty, fruity, watery, drinkable.

Bottle. Blonde. Buttery aroma. Buttery flavor with a hint of hops. Thin, in fact it tastes like a diluted Franconian Kellerbier without the barnyard and the manure heap. Quaffable.

Cask at The Dove, Hammersmith. It pours clear golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is mostly sweet and malty, bread, biscuit, caramel and perhaps hint of citrus. The taste is pretty sweet, minimal bitterness, honey, caramel, bread, biscuit, toasty grain and sweet lemon with a short, dryish finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation.A pretty forgettable golden ale which errs on being too sweet. The most so - so of Fullers standard range imo.
