Smooth and satisfying, this example of an historic style of beer derives its rich, chocolatey character from a blend of Brown and Chocolate malts in the brew. Its notable coffee notes and creamy finish make it a wonderful accompaniment to many sweet foods – especially chocolate pudding. 5.4% ABV.

Pours a very nice rich dark brown, but still transparent ruby at the edges of the glass. Rich roasted malt, some coffee and toffee notes both in the nose and the mouth. Full mouthfeel. Very good beer.

Black pour with small, beige head. Lovely smell of roasted malts and coffee beans. Medium to full body with subtle carbonation. This is incredibly tasty and rich. Aroma of roasted malts, coffe, dark fruit and berries. A bit bready with notes of caramel and chocolate in the background. Slightly smoked. Very, very smooth. Short and dry finish. Overall, excellent porter. Pure class.
