A deliciously nutty, rich and warming ale brewed to 4.8% ABV. Mr Harry is deep amber in colour and packed with raisin and caramel flavours from the Pale Ale Optic malts, which leave a satisfying, soothing finish.

From cask at Green Lion. Pours cloudy orange with a bubbly and huge white head. Aroma is mild peachy and citrusy. Malt flavoured with a distinct citrusy and mild peachy crisp hops flavoured swept through. Ends dry and bitter, mild citrusy.

Draught at the Old Toad. Malt centered and fruity, with cereal grains, cherry, and gumballs. Nice hop finish; good balance. Not very exciting in this version, though.

Draught@Kittyโs, Helsinki. Deep ambery brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is varamel malts, some slight wooden notes as well as mild grains. Flavour is at first wooden but gets a huge kick of licorice, which hides pretty much the other stuff. Mild spicyness as well. Very pleasant and different though.

Draught@Rotterdam, Helsinki. Clear copper brown color, small beige head. Caramelly, nutty and a bit lemony nose - not outstanding. Medium-bodied. Nutty caramelly with good late bitterness. Standard "ok" filtered UK Ale.

(Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki, on 2009-01-08) Deep amber. Clear. Medium sized, white and quite quickly disappearing white head. Sweet malty nose. Full bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Malts, bitterness, berry flavours, toffee and hint of sweetness in taste. Malty and bitter aftertaste.

Cask in 2005, unsure if I had it in Stockholm or Helsinki, as this is between Stockholm marked notes and a Helsinki trip in the autumn 2005. Nutbrown colour with minor head. Aroma is yeast, hops as well as some mild nuts. Flavour is nuttyness as well as some grassy hops. Dry palate. Probably left unrated in the times, as my notes say Fullers Sir Harry and marked 5%...

Cask gravity at St Albans 2007. Chestnut, lasting bubbly beige head. Some sickly syrupy malt, some good fruit. Some roastiness, toasty too, quite good, tasty, decent toffee.

Bottle: poured a reddish amber colour with an off-white head; malty aroma, full in the mouth with a nutty, malty taste and a gently bitter finish. OK, but not Fullerโs best beer.

Bottle, think that I got this in a Fullers brewers pack thing that they do, anyway itโs been kicking around for some time. Copper coloured beer with a malty aroma, some nuttiness in the taste along with pleasant malted flavours, quite a nice beer for this autumnal time of year.
